GoPro Camera Test - American River Rafting

Veronica Hill of http://www.CaliforniaTravelExpert.com puts the GoPro Hero camera to the test on the South Fork of the American River.

The underwater housing works well as a waterproof camera, but the sound quality is compromised in the process. Some of the sound can be brought back at the editing studio. We also noticed a strange clicking noise from the camera at some points.

However, in all, the GoPro HD Hero camera takes some amazing footage for the price. For our river trip, we bought the Go Pro Motorsports Hero, which attaches to a helmet. The GoPro Helmet Hero allows you to shoot in four different HD formats, and it also takes still shots.

Now my husband wants the GoPro Surf Hero mount for his outings on the longboard. I can't wait to use it for snorkeling in Hawaii, or for kayaking the sea caves of La Jolla and the Channel Islands.

The GoPro Hero digital camera is now one of our top pieces of gear in our camera arsenal.
