Aug. 11 -- The Philae lander is flying through the solar system on the back of a comet. Philae started its journey to meet up with Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko ten years ago. It landed on the surface in November 2014 and on August 13, 2015 the Philae will experience "Perihelion," the point when the comet will be the closest to the Sun during its 6.5-year orbit. Scientists are watching closely to see if Philae sends back new information about its brush past the Sun and more data about its celestial host.
