San Jose Vietnam Town, the largest shopping center in northern California.

On Saturday, November 13, 2010, Mr. Lap Tang, the owner of Grand Century Shopping Mall on 1111 Story Road, San Jose, CA 95122, invited some friends to visit his new San Jose Vietnam Town Shopping Center, next to his existing Grand Century Shopping Mall.

Mr Lap Tang expects the Vietnam Town Shopping Center will be completed within December 2010 and the opening will start on Christmas Day 2010 before New Year celebration.

San Jose Vietnam Town Shopping Center has 265 shopping units on 20 hectares that are almost sold out to private customers. But there are still some units that Mr. Lap Tang is expecting to lease out. For the construction investment of San Jose Vietnam Town at the first stage, Mr Lap Tang told that it cost around US$110 Millions.

The project started sine 2004, but in mid-2007 when one of its lenders, East West Bank, walked away, putting a halt to construction until the remaining banks, United Commercial Bank and EverTrust Bank pumped money for Mr. Lap Tang to continue the construction with its contractor, Reeve-Knight Construction Inc.

Mr. Lap Tang told that the project will be completed before the end of December 2010 for ready to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Cat. The total cost of construction is around US$110 Millions.
