'Professional Football against Hunger' - a partnership between the world of football, the European Union and FAO -- is bringing the issue of hunger to the attention of millions of football fans.
Football stars such as Raúl, Roberto Baggio and have offered their personal commitment to the "Professional Football against Hunger" campaign and travelled to countries where FAO and the European Union are helping poor communities to get back on their feet.
This year, the third and biggest-ever Match Day Against Hunger (31st March - 2nd April) brought together 300 professional football clubs in 20 leagues throughout 16 European countries. European football sounded the alarm on hunger in the Sahel.
