NASA TV's Channel: NASA Press Briefing on Successful NPP Launch
NASA's NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) spacecraft reached orbit on Friday, Oct. 28, after launch onboard a Delta II rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California at 5:48 a.m. EDT. The mission will provide critical data to advance climate change research and weather forecasting. Officials from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration discussed the launch and health of the spacecraft at a press briefing this morning at Vandenberg.

President Obama says that we can't wait for Congress to take action to grow the economy and create jobs and highlights actions he took to help families refinance their mortgages, put veterans to work, and lower the cost of student loans.
