Alleged people smugglers are victims: lawyers

With the Australian parliament poised to pass new laws to process asylum seekers off-shore, the country's courts are left to deal with the legacy of boat arrivals.

More than 300 Indonesian adults are in custody in Australia, facing people smuggling charges.

Many of them allegedly worked as crew on asylum-seeker boat but their lawyers argue they are victims of people smugglers.

And to try to prove it, they're travelling into some of the poorest parts of Indonesia.
