The Innovator Using Gene Coding to Grow Batteries
July 12 (Bloomberg) -- Angela Belcher, a professor at M.I.T., was inspired by the ability of abalones to create their own hard shells by turning minerals found in seawater into calcium carbonate. Her research laboratory is taking the same gene coding principles and applying them to the organic development of battery cells. (Source: Bloomberg)
