Sendai in Japan's Miyagi Prefecture experienced one of the strongest tremors when the devastating earthquake struck nearly two years ago. It was the nearest major city to the epicentre. Using artificial intelligence, cars are learning to drive themselves, drones to make autonomous life and death decisions and telephones and teddy bears are able to talk to us.
